The Northern California Bluegrass Society is a California non-profit corporation run by a 9-member Board of Directors elected by the membership for one-year terms beginning each August. All NCBS members are eligible to run for the board and vote in the election.

Candidate Statements are due by June 15, 2009 and can be e-mailed to (Bluegrass By The Bay) bluegrassbythebay (at) gmail (dot) com or mailed to NCBS, PO Box 390846, Mountain View, CA. 94039-0846, Attn: BBB Editors. The candidate statements will be published in the July issue of Bluegrass By The Bay and on the NCBS website, and the ballots will be included in both the July and August BBB issues.  Ballots will also be provided to members voting in person on election day.

NCBS members may vote by mail, or in person on Saturday, August 8, 2009 between 10:00am and 5:00pm at the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, Bolado Park, Hollister, CA. Mailed ballots must be received by Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the NCBS Post Office Box: NCBS, PO Box 390846, Mountain View, CA. 94039-0846.
