Scott Gates will perform with banjo star Steve Martin in a rerun of a May Ellen DeGeneres TV show on Thursday, June 25 (Channel 11 at 4:00pm in the Bay Area — check local listings). Mandolinist Gates’ youthful Pacific Ocean Bluegrass Band performed regularly at the NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival until the band was dissolved last year.
