Rising Bluegrass Star A. J. Lee To Appear At At NCBS GOF and Brown Barn Festivals

We think that NCBS member and Tracy resident A. J. Lee has a very bright future in bluegrass. By this time next year, the arc of her music career will likely have a national trajectory. They may not know it yet, but that is very sweet news for bluegrass music fans around the country. For A.J.’s local fans, it is mildly bittersweet news, as we will likely be seeing her a bit less often and mostly in the larger venues. We not only wish her well in her exciting new endeavors — we are downright bursting with pride!

A.J. ’s band OMGG will play two more small local festivals as the 2009 bluegrass season winds down. These are good opportunities for her adoring fans to see her sing at relaxed, intimate local events:

– NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, August 7-9, Bolado Park, Hollister.

– Jake’s Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival, September 11-13, San Martin-Ludwig Ranch Park, San Martin (sponsored by NCBS).
