Northern California Bluegrass Society members receive discounts to a number of bluegrass events held throughout the year. This is a one-week reminder that September 1 is the deadline for discount advance tickets sales for both the Brown Barn and Plymouth festivals in September. Each festival offers a discount to the public for advance ticket purchase and an extra discount on advance tickets for NCBS members. There are no discounts at the gate for either event.

September 11-13: Jake’s Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival, San Martin. The 4th annual event is sponsored by the NCBS for the first time this year. There is more information in the left column of this website or at the official website.  Brown Barn tickets are not available online — here is how to get advance tickets from the Quesenberry family.

September 18-20: Bluegrassin’ In The Foothills, Plymouth. L&S Promotions stages this 7-year-old gathering at a nice familiar location that has hosted many bluegrass festivals over the past two decades. The latest version is the best. Information and tickets are available on the official website.
