Johnsons, Abbotts, & NCBS Welcome You To The 10/3 Johnson Farm Party
The 9th Annual Johnson Farm Pickin’ Party is set for Saturday, October 3 near Boulder Creek. Brought to you by the Johnson Family, the Abbott Family, and the Northern California Bluegrass Society. FREE!
DETAILS:
When: October 3rd, 2009, 12pm-7pm
Where: The Johnson Farm in Boulder Creek
What: Jamming, picnicking, visiting, more jamming…
How Much: It’s free!
Homesteaded in the 1800’s, this picturesque 92 acre historic farm with its bucolic surroundings is the ideal setting for our ‘hillbilly’ music. The cozy redwoods, meadows, rolling hills, and picnic tables are perfect for whiling away the day jamming, picnicking and visiting. And, it’s free!
There are usually several jams going on simultaneously, from beginner jams to more skilled circles. Non-pickers are welcome too… bring the family! It’s worth noting that some of the folks in this Meetup group have made some great personal connections with other music-learners at this friendly, social event.
The Johnson Farm Picking Party is hosted by the Abbott Family, the Johnson Family and the Northern California Bluegrass Society. For more info, call Leslie Abbott at (831) 423-5214. Facebook page.
