NCBS To Present 2010 Late Winter Festivals In San Francisco And Redwood City
The Northern California Bluegrass Society will present two Bay Area Bluegrass festivals during late winter 2010. The events will keep Northern California fans busy with great indoor music during the annual rainy season.
The 11th Annual NCBS San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival will be held February 12-21 in the clubs and concert halls of San Francisco and the East Bay. A wide variety of programs with admission ranging from free to moderate to pricey will be held over the course of two weekends and the week in between. The shows will be equally divided between bluegrass and old-time performers. The 3rd Annual NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway Festival will be held March 11-14 at various venues in historic downtown Redwood City. The festival will include live bluegrass performances, a bluegrass film festival, the Northern California Bluegrass Awards, jams, workshops, restaurant shows, and other exciting bluegrass entertainment. All festival events are FREE.
Principal support for the BOB comes from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission, the Redwood City Public Library, the Friends of the Library, the Peninsula Christian Center, and Provident Credit Union.
