John Reischman & The Jaybirds are doing something a little different during their NCBS-sponsored November 14, 2009 Redwood Bluegrass Associates concert. The second set of the show will be devoted to Reischman’s all-instrumental, all-original album, “Up In The Woods,” on its tenth anniversary.

“Up In The Woods” is a landmark recording, showcasing both John’s extraordinary compositional skills — does anyone else write such memorable tunes? — and his peerless mandolin playing.
