The 18th NCBS Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, set for December 4-5, 2009, will honor the memory of the late Yodeling Lady Lolita Ferrell, who passed away on November 14th after a long illness. She was an honorary Lifetime Member of the Society and last performed on stage at the March 2009 Brookdale Festival.

Festival hosts Eric and Barbra Burman have special performances, jams and films planned in honor of  Lolita. Plus there will be plenty of other band performances and open jams during the weekend.

This winter’s festival will not be held at the  Brookdale Inn and Spa, but will take place in the Santa Cruz Mountain community of Bonny Doon.

The daily ticket price is only $20. All proceeds from the event will go to help out the Ferrell family.
