Many Northern California Bluegrass Society members are also active members of the Santa Clara Valley Fiddlers Association. SCVFA President Richard Brooks has this invitation for everyone who loves holiday cheer and a good bluegrass jam:

Help celebrate the holidays with the SCVFA this Sunday, December 6. It’s the Fiddlers’ annual holiday potluck dinner and music jam at the Hoover Middle School, 1635 Park Ave, San Jose, CA.

The music jam starts at 1:00 PM and the potluck dinner starts at 3:00 PM. Bring food to share if you can. We need more side dishes than desserts. The SCVFA provides the turkey, ham, punch, coffee, and eating utensils. Please bring your own serving utensils and tape your name on your serving dish. Note: There will be no access to the school kitchen.

If you come alone, bring enough for 4 to share. If you come as a couple, bring enough for 8 to share. If you cannot bring food, we ask $5 at the door to cover our rent and insurance. Donations to help offset these fixed monthly expenses are graciously accepted. Another reason to attend: We’re giving away the table decorations as door prizes.
