Rick Hendricks, a member of Belle Monroe & Her Brewglass Boys and many other bluegrass and related bands in San Francisco, died yesterday after a long battle with cancer. He played the resonator guitar, sang lead and harmony vocals, and wrote songs. His bands and a large crowd of his friends and fans gathered on Monday evening in San Francisco in his honor. Rick performed many times on NCBS stages over the years, including the San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival, Bluegrass On Broadway, and the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival. He will be missed.  Above: Rick Hendricks.
