Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair

The NCBS/SCBS Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair welcomes the return of the Down Beets of Santa Cruz on Saturday, May 1, Noon-5:00pm at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, next to the Santa Cruz County Courthouse. The FREE show will feature 5 bands on a relaxed Santa Cruz spring afternoon. Food and drink will be available. The raffle prizes include tickets to many upcoming festivals. The fair, founded in 1987, is the world’s oldest celebration of “May — Bluegrass Month” and is the official kick-off for the 2010 summer bluegrass season. Here the  Down Beets perform “Seeds Of The Pine” at last year’s Bluegrass Fair on YouTube.
