Sunshine & Bluegrass Music Make The 24th Annual Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair A Fun Afternoon
The TV ad for the 2010 Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair said, “Follow me to the Duck Pond!” The largest crowd in the 24-year-history of the event did just that yesterday under sunny blue skies, and were rewarded with great Northern California bluegrass music. Thanks to all the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society volunteers who made this fine afternoon happen!
The Harmony Grits, Down Beets, Family Hogwash, Faux Renwah, and Mountain Drive provided the onstage entertainment.
Mike McKinley, Daniella Irish, and Jessica Evans were the NCBS/SCBS leaders for the event.
The International Bluegrass Music Association has moved future celebrations of Worldwide Bluegrass Month from May to September, but the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair will continue to be held the first Saturday in May. See you next year and thanks for your support!
The Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society is planning a big party for the (new) Bluegrass Month of September. Details soon on this website!
