The Tres Pinos weather forecast looks very good for the August 13-15 weekend of the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, but what is really exciting is the chance of a clear, moonless night sky at Bolado Park, so we can enjoy the annual Perseids Meteor Shower, which promises to be big this year!
perseidmontage341This event is set to peak on Saturday morning, but there will be plenty to see from midnight through dawn all weekend long, so govern your evenings accordingly. No visual aids will be needed,  just your eyes, and possibly a comfy lounge chair and blanket. Of course, there will no shortage of friends to share the evening with.. .picking and stargazing…just keep looking up!
