Northern California Bluegrass Society Members are looking forward to the season of big summer bluegrass (and closely-related music) festivals. Big Crowds and Big Name Talent will abound. June 3-4 — Bluegrass For The Greenbelt, Greenbelt Alliance, Dunsmuir-Hellman Estate Park, Oakland (New NCBS-hosted campout on Friday evening). Jimmie Dale Gilmore & the Wronglers, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands, Kathy Kallick Band.
June 16-19 — CBA Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival, Nevada County Fairgrounds, Grass Valley. Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Travelin’ McCourys, Dale Ann Bradley.
June 17-19 — Huck Finn’s Jubilee, Mojave Narrows Regional Park, Victorville. Rodney Dillard & The Dillard Band, The Gibson Brothers, Sierra Hull.
