Three Ways To Enjoy June 3-4 Bluegrass For The Greenbelt Festival
There are three ways to enjoy the expanded Bluegrass For The Greenbelt Festival, set for June 3-4, 2011 at the Dunsmuir-Hellman Estate Park in the Oakland Hills. For its first 5 years, the event was a one-day Saturday concert; in year 6, the fun will begin on Friday afternoon with a Northern California Bluegrass Society-hosted tent campout and an evening concert. Here are your options:
Saturday-Only Concert: You can still enjoy this event the old-fashioned way. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for Marley’s Ghost, The Kathy Kallick Band, Laurie Lewis & the Right Hands, Jimmie Dale Gilmore With The Wronglers, The Tuttles With A. J. Lee, Arann Harris & The Farm Band, performing on two stages.
Friday Evening Concert: Enjoy a special Friday evening show with Nell Robinson & Jim Nunally on the main stage.
Tent Camp With NCBS & See The Whole Show: You can bring your tent and enjoy hanging and pickin’ with your bluegrass buddies on Friday afternoon and evening — and see both the Friday and Saturday stage performances. This is a beautiful, close-to-home festival site — ya’ll come and check it out!

Update: Jimmie Dale Gilmore & The Wronglers will appear on the live radio broadcast of “A Prairie Home Companion” on June 4 and will be replaced by another band at Bluegrass For The Greenbelt.
