Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old-Timey Festival Set For July 13-15 With Music & Art

The weekend of July 13-15, 2012 will bring the NCBS Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old Timey Festival to several venues throughout the small mountain town, 12 miles north of Santa Cruz on Highway 9.

The festival will begin on Friday night  in Barry Tanner’s  PASS Recording Studio, one block from the main drag in Boulder Creek. The cameras should be there from our local cable TV station, to be part of the Brookdale Bluegrass Hour that is  shown every Monday night.

On Saturday morning, a FREE concert will be held at Boulder Creek Park, next to the the local swimming hole. In addition to the music, the street will be lined with arts and crafts as this festival has invited the local artists to be part of the show.

Beginning Saturday afternoon, the festival moves to Scopazzi’s Restaurant, then from 7:00-11:00pm the show moves to the Boulder Creek Recreation Hall for the big evening show.

On Sunday, we will be back at PASS Studios, followed by an evening jam at the Boulder Creek Brewing Company.

The bands will include The Juncos, The String Slingers, The Driftless, Common Cents, Laura Lind, BanjerDan, Sons Of Jefferson, Cactus Bob & Praire Flower, Jean Butterfield, Regina Barlett, and more.

This will be the largest festival since we moved from the old Brookdale Lodge The weekend will be fun and we hope you will join us! More information is on the brookdalebluegrass.com website. NCBS has sponsored all Brookdale/Boulder Creek festivals several time each year since 1998.
