“No Mouse Music,” A Potential 2013 BOB Film About Arhoolie Records, Has June 18 Deadline
“No Mouse Music” (working title), an in-progress Salt Lake City/Berkeley bluegrass music documentary by Chris Simon and Maureen Gosling that we hope to screen at the January 2013 NCBS International Bluegrass Music Museum Film Festival in Redwood City, has a MONDAY, JUNE 18 deadline for completion funding on Kickstarter.
The documentary will tell the story of the Bay Area’s roots-based Arhoolie Records and its colorful founder Chris Stachwitz.
Chris Simon made the film “I Hear What You See: The Old Time World Of Kenny Hall” that was shown at the 2012 NCBS film event that is part of Bluegrass On Broadway and also at the follow-up NCBS Film Festival in Atascadero in May.
Principal financial support for the Bluegrass On Broadway festival, including the film festival, comes from the City of Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission.
Thanks for your support!
