Laura Lind and Adam Miller are a Bay Area duo that present their engaging vocals to audiences at libraries and schools. The programs and assemblies focus on the wide range of folk songs in our county's history and give their audiences a chance to sing along and participate. Their repertoire ranges from old time folk classics, bluegrass songs and selected songs from current songwriters. Laura has a clear, strong voice that has echoes of running streams, and mountain air. Her version of "The Bergen" has a haunting quality that makes the loss of the Finnish ship more compelling. "Dancing in Fifty Year Forests" is a commentary on our vanishing forests. Adam's voice and autoharp weave a melodious tapestry in "Someday Soon," and he has a perfect "cowboy out-on-the-range" voice in "Night Herding Song" and "Ten Cents A Ride." "I Wish I Had My Time Again" is a wistful love song with the duo's wonderful harmonies. Adam has won several awards for his autoharp playing and this album showcases his talents.
