As a nonprofit organization, the NCBS is run by a board of directors elected by the membership. The 2011-12 board are:

NCBS Board Candidate Statements Now Due June 23

Due to the  BBB Editors (and the rest of us) heading up to Grass Valley this week, the deadline for Candidate Statements for the NCBS Board of Directors August 14, 2010 Election has been extended to June 23, 2010. E-mail (or otherwise submit) to Bluegrass By The Bay ( Editors) bluegrassbythebay (at) gmail (dot) com.

Candidate Statements For 2010-2011 NCBS Board Of Directors Election Due On June 15

The Northern California Bluegrass Society Board of Directors election will be held 10:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, Bolado Park, Tres Pinos, CA.

To be included on the ballot, NCBS members must submit a short candidate statement by June 15, 2010 for publication in the July issue of Bluegrass By The Bay magazine. Statements should be e-mailed to (Stewart & Jessica Evans, BBB Editors) bluegrassbythebay (at) gmail (dot) com,  or otherwise submitted to them by the deadline. Ballots will be published in the July BBB and made available on Saturday at the GOF.

NCBS members can vote in person on Saturday at the festival or by mail, with mailed ballots to be received by Wednesday, August 11 at the NCBS post office box, PO Box 390846, Mountain View, CA. 94039-0846.

The 9-member NCBS board elects the Society’s officers and manages the Society’s affairs. Members serve one-year terms. For more information, ask any current or past NCBS board member.

Stewart Evans Named To NCBS Board Of Directors

Stewart Evans of Santa Cruz has been named to the Northern California Bluegrass Society Board Of Directors. Evans is the NCBS webmaster and the co-editor of the NCBS print magazine Bluegrass By The Bay. He plays mandolin with the band Still Searchin’. His term will end in August, 2010.
