The Northern California Bluegrass Society brings people together to enjoy, play, and promote bluegrass, old time, and related acoustic music. Membership in the NCBS brings you in touch with musicians and musical events connected to the world of bluegrass.

NCBS exists because of your support! Through a growing network of bluegrass society members, the local bluegrass community is thriving. The NCBS board, individual members and other affiliated organizations plan bluegrass events like jams and campouts, and publicize them through channels like our local bluegrass radio DJs, internet media and our printed monthly magazine, Bluegrass By the Bay.

NCBS Members Receive Discount & Priority Advance Registration Access For IBMA World Of Bluegrass

Northern California Bluegrass Society Members will receive a discount and priority advance registration access for the International Bluegrass Music Association’s World Of Bluegrass in Raleigh, NC. NCBS is a longtime organizational member of the IBMA.

The convention will be held September 30-October 4, 2014 and includes the IBMA Business Conference, the  Bluegrass Ramble, the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival, and the IBMA Awards Show, all in downtown Raleigh.

There is a limit of 8 festival tickets and 8 conference registrations. Note that conference registration includes a Bluegrass Ramble pass.

Wide Open Bluegrass Festival tickets are sold separately. Tickets are $70 per day, or $140 for 2-day pass, plus tax.

The class will be taught by Eileen Tilson and Jessie Whitmire of Girlilla Marketing, a Nashville-based strategic digital marketing agency.

bglogoibma-logoThe big annual worldwide gathering of bluegrass bands, organizers, and fans takes place each fall, now in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Californians need to plan ahead to make the trip, so take the time early in the year to consider and plan the adventure.

The 2014 International Bluegrass Music Association’s World Of Bluegrass will be held September 30-October 4 at the Raleigh Convention Center and other nearby venues in downtown Raleigh. Tickets and hotel reservations will open up later this spring (to be announced on the IBMA website).
