Always Thinkin’ At The End: Gathering The Bluegrass Community
We have said it before: “Rock is a kind of music; bluegrass is a kind of community.”
The Bay Area bluegrass community is gathering together to help out some of our folks in need. A July 20 fire destroyed the San Francisco residence of Brewglass Boys Pam Brandon (aka Belle Monroe) & Tom Drohan, and Gayle Schmidt of the Hired Hands & the Toodola Ramblers. Keeping their lives rolling while their home is rebuilt over the next year is going to take a bit more than a few bucks in the tip jar. The area bluegrass associations, promoters and musicians are joining forces to stage a few benefit shows to help out — we will have the details soon. Hey, folks, thanks for your support!
