The festival will run Saturday and Sunday, June 21st -22nd, from noon -10p.m. Come join us for dance workshops, music workshops, and kids events during the day, then for dances and concerts in the evening. All events are free and open to the public. The San Francisco Free Folk Festival offers the public a wonderful opportunity to enjoy both traditional and contemporary dances and folk music. The festival is sponsored by the San Francisco Folk Music Club. This year it will feature a special performance by the club’s matriarch, Faith Petric, who will be celebrating her 92nd birthday. Headliners of the festival will be the The Mighty Crows, Alhambra Valley Band, Mountain Laurel Band, Pat Ickes & Bound to Ride, Sidesaddle, and The Mighty Chiplings. Other entertainers include the local Elem Indian Tribe Dance Group, who will kick off the event, plus local groups Andy Skelton and the Konocti Fiddlers, the Clear Lake Clickers, Public Nuisance, Don Coffin and the AMIA Live Wire Choir, and Laura & Darin Smith. The Old Time Bluegrass Festival will feature demonstrations and vendors selling old-time handmade crafts, Art in the Barn, a wine garden featuring Lake County wines, and a beer garden, as well as food prepared by local service clubs and local schools’ culinary programs. Delicious food and drink will be available from many local service organizations. Beer and wine gardens will be presented by the Kiwanis Club. Scrumptious homemade blackberry pie and ice cream will be served by the Clearlake State Park Interpretive Association.
