Brookdale Bluegrass Festivals

Put on by Eric & Barbra Burman and sponsored by the NCBS, the Brookdale Bluegrass Festivals are wintertime indoor festivals held between 1999 and 2009 at the Brookdale Lodge (now known as the Brookdale Inn and Spa). The Winter 2009 Festival was held in Bonny Doon. Spring and summer 2010 festivals were held in Boulder Creek with the main stage at Scopazzi’s Restaurant. The winter 2010 festival will be held at venues in both Brookdale and Boulder Creek. For details see the festival website at http://www.brookdalebluegrass.com.

Downtown Boulder Creek Hosts Bluegrass & Old Timey Festival This Weekend

Downtown Boulder Creek is set to welcome bluegrass and old timey music fans this weekend, March 5-7,  in an NCBS event hosted by Eric & Barbra Burman. The tiny mountain community is the new location of the twice-yearly Brookdale Bluegrass Festivals (1999-2009). The new (old) gathering will be called the Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old Timey Festival.

Performances and jamming will take place in various venues, all of which will require a festival wristband for participation on Friday and Saturday  (only);  Sunday is a FREE day at the festival.

The new location is a mile or so north of the old Brookdale Lodge venue on Highway 9.

Lodging is available at various area hotels and motels, including the Brookdale. Note that the only service available at the Brookdale is hotel room rental; the remainder of the facilities and services are not currently open or operating. No festival events will take place at the Brookdale.

Eric & Barbra Burman will bring music to the streets of Boulder Creek March 5-7, 2010 with the NCBS Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old Timey Festival, continuing the Brookdale Bluegrass tradition less than two miles away from the original 1999-2009 Brookdale Lodge location. The festival will take place at various venues in the historic downtown district. Complete details are now available on the festival website. NCBS Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old Timey Festival Line-Up Announced For March 5-7

The Brookdale Bluegrass Festivals, presented  by Eric & Barbra Burman, and sponsored by the Northern California Bluegrass Society at the Brookdale Lodge between 1999 and 2009, lives on as the Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old Timey Festival, March 5-7, 2010 in downtown Boulder Creek (about two miles from the original location).
