Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old Timey Festivals

Put on by Eric & Barbra Burman and sponsored by the NCBS, the Brookdale Bluegrass Festivals were wintertime indoor festivals held between 1999 and 2009 at the now-closed Brookdale Lodge . The Winter 2009 Festival was held in Bonny Doon. The festivals are now held in Boulder Creek with the main stage at Scopazzi’s Restaurant.  The events are now known as the Boulder Creek Bluegrass & Old Timey Festival and is held three times each year, in March, July, and December. The 2016 Brookdale Winter Gathering will be presented on Sunday, November 27 by Brookdale Bluegrass.

The 7:00pm program will include Freebo, the Brookdale Bluegrass Band, and DamDave & The Left Hand Band.

The show will be held at Don Quixote’s in Felton and will be welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Brookdale Winter Gathering To Feature Freebo At Don Quixote’s In Felton On November 27

The 2016 Brookdale Winter Gathering will feature an appearances by performer Freebo and by the Brookdale Bluegrass Band and DamDave & The Left Hand Band. The program will be held at Don Quixote’s in Felton on Sunday, November 27 at 7:00pm and will be welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. All You Need To Know To Go To The Brookdale Bluegrass Spring Fling This Weekend In Boulder Creek

The 19th Annual Brookdale Bluegrass Spring Fling, welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society and presented by Brookdale Bluegrass, will happen on Friday & Saturday, March 18 & 19, 2016. Here is All You Need To Know:

The Festival:

Music performances and jams are held at Scopazzi’s Restaurant, 13300 Big Basin Way, in the small, charming mountain community of Boulder Creek, 12 miles north of Santa Cruz and about a mile north of the Brookdale Lodge on Highway 9  in the San Lorenzo Valley of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The festival will return to its namesake home at the Brookdale as soon as renovations at that historic hotel are complete.

Tickets:

Plenty of tickets will be available at the door.  Online Tickets are also available for your convenience. FRI: $15, SAT: $25, BOTH: $40.

There is a wide variety of food and drink available within easy walking distance in downtown Boulder Creek, but you won’t have to go that far, as Scopazzi’s offers great meals and a full bar onsite.

Lodging:

There are many small motels and inns in the area.  Nearby campgrounds are available at public and private parks in the San Lorenzo Valley.

The festival is presented by Brookdale Bluegrass and is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The event will be held at Scopazzi’s Restaurant due to ongoing renovations at the gathering’s namesake Brookdale Lodge.
