Jake’s Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival

Brown BarnFounded in 2006 by the late Jake Quesenberry, the Brown Barn Festival continues in his honor. Now known as Jake’s Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival, it is held each October in Gilroy. Since 2009, the festival has been officially sponsored by NCBS. Beginning with the 2011 event, it will also be sponsored by the Music Medics.

The festival is held at the Historic Franklin Ranch, 170 Rucker Avenue, Gilroy, CA.

The 6th annual festival will be held October 7-9, 2011.

Windy Hill Set For Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival Stage October 7-9 In Gilroy

The NCBS-sponsored Jake’s Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival will welcome Brown Barn favorite Windy Hill back to its stage the second weekend of October. The Portola Valley-based traditional bluegrass band has performed at festivals throughout California and has won major bluegrass band contests across the West. The October 7-9, 2011 festival in Gilroy will be held one month later and three miles south of its old location.

Jake’s Brown Barn Festival Friday Open Mike Now Booking

Bands wishing to perform as part of the Friday Open Mike Show at the NCBS-sponsored Jake’s Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival should contact Melissa Blas, who is now booking. The 6:00-10:00pm open mike program will open the October 7-9, 2011 festival at the Historic Franklin Ranch, Gilroy. NOTE NEW EVENT DATES AND LOCATION.

Jake’s Brown Barn Bluegrass Festival Performance Schedule Announced

UPDATE: The Oak Grove Bluegrass Band from Walnut Creek will replace Savannah Blue at 10:00am on Saturday morning.
