Redwood Bluegrass Associates has announced its 2011 Fall Concert Series, sponsored by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

September 24 — Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper

October 22 — Frank Wakefield Band

November 12 — Red Wine

December 3 — Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band

All shows are held at the First Presbyterian Church Of Mountain View.

May 13-14, 2011 will be a huge bluegrass weekend in Palo Alto & Mountain View. The Northern California Bluegrass Society is sponsoring back-to-back major shows presented by a Palo Alto PTA and the RBA.

The Juana Briones School PTA presents the Second Annual PTA Palooza benefit concert with Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands, Snap Jackson & The Knock On Wood Players, and The Tuttles With A. J. Lee. Spangenberg Theatre, Gunn High School, Palo Alto. Concert — 7:00pm.

SATURDAY, May 14

Redwood Bluegrass Associates presents The David Grisman Bluegrass Experience. First Presbyterian Church, Mountain View. Open Jam — 5:00pm, Concert — 8:00pm.

Redwood Bluegrass Associates will present Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen in an NCBS-sponsored concert at the First Presbyterian Church of Mountain View on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Redwood City’s Kitchen Help will open the show. The 8:00pm concert will be preceded by the annual RBA BBQ Dinner catered by Sam’s Barbecue of San Jose — and, of course, the the regular RBA open jam beginning at 5:00pm.

Next: Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen will perform in a NCBS-sponsored concert the following evening, May 1, at Don Quixote’s International Music Hall in Felton. The historic 20th RBA season series will conclude with the David Grisman Bluegrass Experience on May 14.

Redwood Bluegrass Associates will conclude the 2010-2011 concert season in Mountain View with a performance by The David Grisman Bluegrass Experience on Saturday, May 14. An open jam beginning at 5:00pm will lead into the 8:00pm concert. Pie and coffee will be served.

The other remaining show in the series will feature Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen and Kitchen Help on April 30. Concerts are held at the First Presbyterian Church Of Mountain View. The Northern California Bluegrass Society has sponsored and assisted with all RBA concerts since 1995.

Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen from Washington, DC and Redwood City’s Kitchen Help band will perform at a NCBS-sponsored Redwood Bluegrass Associates concert on Saturday, April 30. The 8:00pm show will be preceded by the annual RBA Barbecue, catered by Sam’s BBQ of San Jose. An open jam will begin at 5:00pm.

Modesto native Frank Solivan and band will also appear in a second area NCBS-sponsored concert the following evening, May 1, at Don Quixote’s in Felton.
