Date & Time: Saturday, May 2, Noon-6:00pm.

Place: Duck Pond Stage, San Lorenzo Park, 134 Dakota Avenue, next to the courthouse in Santa Cruz.

Cost: FREE.

Weather: Nice! Sunny. High 68, Low 46.

Food & Drink: Available for purchase or bring your own. No alcohol, please.

Bring: Blanket or chairs for lawn seating.

Parking: On street, in downtown garages, or at the left side of the courthouse.

Raffle: Yes. Tons of tickets to upcoming summer bluegrass events and many other great prizes!

santa-cruz-city-limit-billboardDirections: From Highway 17, continue on Ocean Street into Santa Cruz, past Water Street, then right into the Santa Cruz County Courthouse parking lot, to left of building, park and walk to Duck Pond Stage behind the Lawn Bowling Courts. Alternate Parking on the streets surrounding the park or in downtown Santa Cruz (and cross the pedestrian bridge into the park).

NCBS will welcome Della Mae to a Redwood Bluegrass Associates concert in Mountain View on the evening of May 2 — the perfect way to end a Great Day Of Bluegrass! Showtime is 7:30pm.

Saturday, May 2 will be a big day for local bluegrass music fans, with two great Northern California Bluegrass Society shows back-to-back. Ya’ll come!

BLUEGRASS FAIR — AFTERNOON

Noon-6:00pm — Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair, Duck Pond Stage, San Lorenzo Park, Santa Cruz.

FREE afternoon of music in the park presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society, with the True Life Troubadours, The Naked Bootleggers, Harmony Grits, The Down Beets, and the Eddie DuCommun Band. Raffle, food, spring sun, grass, trees, swimming ducks, and all of your friends. The 29th annual gathering is a rite of spring that will kick off the outdoor bluegrass season in Northern California.

BLUEGRASS CONCERT — EVENING

7:30pm — Della Mae Concert, First Presbyterian Church Of Mountain View, Mountain View.

Boston’s favorite all-women bluegrass band comes to town in a Redwood Bluegrass Associates show that will wrap-up the current RBA season. NCBS welcomes this concert. Advance tickets are recommended. Pie and coffee will be served. Open Jam at 5:00pm.

The Naked Bootleggers, The True Life Troubadours, and The Eddie DuCommun Band will perform at the 2015 Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair on Saturday, May 2. Five Bands will fill the afternoon line-up.

The FREE gathering at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park is presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society.

The 29th annual fair, which features music, food, grass, trees, spring weather, and friends, is the kick-off for the outdoor bluegrass music season in Northern California.
