Our longest running event (since 1987), this FREE show is held the first Saturday of May on the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, in sunny downtown Santa Cruz. This is the world’s oldest celebration of May — International Bluegrass Music Month.
The 24th Annual Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair is set for this Saturday, May 1, Noon-5:00pm. The FREE fair will be held at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, next to the courthouse in downtown Santa Cruz. The line-up: Harmony Grits, Faux Renwah, Mountain Drive, Down Beets, Family Hogwash. NEW THIS YEAR: Bluegrass Fair T-shirts! (We will have both men’s & women’s sizes.) Get ‘em while they’re hot!

The NCBS/SCBS Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair welcomes the return of the Down Beets of Santa Cruz on Saturday, May 1, Noon-5:00pm at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, next to the Santa Cruz County Courthouse. The FREE show will feature 5 bands on a relaxed Santa Cruz spring afternoon. Food and drink will be available. The raffle prizes include tickets to many upcoming festivals. The fair, founded in 1987, is the world’s oldest celebration of “May — Bluegrass Month” and is the official kick-off for the 2010 summer bluegrass season. The Twenty-Fourth Annual Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair is a relaxed Santa Cruzin’ spring afternoon of bluegrass music in the park with your friends. Still FREE and still FUN after all these years.
