NCBS San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival On Hiatus In 2014

The San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival, founded by Michael Hall in 2000 and presented by the SFBOT Committee of the Northern California Bluegrass Society each February for 14 years, will be on hiatus in 2014, but will be reorganized and return in 2015.

The hiatus is needed due to changes in leadership and grant funding sources.

The hugely-successful 10-day urban bluegrass event features numerous performances in the clubs and concert halls of San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties. Thanks to all of the volunteers, supporters, bands, and venues who have worked hard on behalf of the festival over the years.

NCBS will continue to present these 7 NCBS-owned and NCBS-welcomed festivals throughout 2014:

January: NCBS Presents Bluegrass On Broadway (January 19, 24-26, Redwood City).

March: Brookdale Bluegrass Presents The Brookdale Bluegrass Festival At Costanoa (March 5-9, Pescadero) (NCBS-welcomed).

April: (Bluegrass festival TBA in Napa Valley)

May: NCBS/SCBS Presents The Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair (May 3, Santa Cruz).

August: NCBS Presents The Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival (August 7-10, Tres Pinos).
