2009 SFBOT Volunteer Party A Success

NCBS Lifetime Member Hilary Perkins hosted the hard-working volunteers of the NCBS San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival for a post-fest thank-you party this afternoon at her home in the Berkeley Hills. Attendees played music under the spreading olive trees in the courtyard and enjoyed good food and good bluegrass company. The only formal program was the ceremonial reading of the newly-crafted “Festival Mission Statement” by SFBOT Committee chairman Tom Lucas. Everyone is looking forward to the 2010 renewal next February. A good time (as they say) was had by all.

SFBOT Volunteer Party Celebrates A Decade Of Urban Bluegrass

The Northern California Bluegrass Society’s San Francisco Bluegrass & Old-Time Festival turned 10 years old in February as the premier urban bluegrass festival in the nation. This weekend, the hard-working volunteers who make it happen will gather to reflect on their success and enjoy some food, friends and music. The SFBOT Committee is already making plans for the next event — and you can join them for the 2010 festival and (of course) the 2010 volunteer party. Plus, SFBOT volunteers will be invited to the NCBS volunteer party in the fall. Contact Festival Director Tom Lucas to volunteer.
