Nashville Bluegrass Band To Play Two February NCBS Shows In Mountain View & Berkeley

The Northern California Bluegrass Society will present one Nashville Bluegrass Band show and sponsor another this month. The band will appear in Mountain View at an NCBS-sponsored Redwood Bluegrass Associates concert on Saturday, February 13, and in Berkeley as part of the NCBS San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival in a concert at the Freight & Salvage on Sunday, February 14. Complete Line-Up Announced For SFBOT Benefit Concert, January 23 At Cafe Du Nord

The NCBS San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival Committee has announced the complete line-up for the Saturday, January 23 SFBOT Benefit Concert at Cafe Du Nord, 2170 Market Street, San Francisco. The line-up:

- THE BROTHERS COMATOSE — fresh bluegrass from San Francisco
- THE BLUEGRASS REVOLUTION — part bluegrass, part new-grass, all good
- THE BAREFOOT NELLIES — San Francisco’s finest all-gal bluegrass band
- THE NELL ROBINSON — the sweetest singer in bluegrass

Details: 9:00pm doors / 10:00pm show / $10 to $20 sliding scale (donation) / 21+. This concert will help pay the bills for the 11th annual festival, which will run February 12-21 at various San Francisco, East Bay, and North Bay venues.

NCBS San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival Announces Complete February 12-21 Schedule

The Northern California Bluegrass Society’s SFBOT Committee has announced the complete schedule for the 11th Annual San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival. The February 12-21, 2010 festival will be held at numerous venues throughout San Francisco, the East Bay, and the North Bay. Events range from expensive to moderate to free — something for everyone! Find some shows you like and make plans to enjoy some urban bluegrass and old time music with your friends next month.

The Brothers Comatose Set For January 23 SFBOT Benefit Concert

The Brothers Comatose will perform at a benefit concert supporting the Northern California Bluegrass Society’s San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival. Other bands will soon join the bill.

The 11th Annual San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival will be held February 12-21. On Saturday, January 23, the NCBS SFBOT Committee will stage a Benefit Concert at the elegant Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco to raise funds for the event. The Brothers Comatose will headline the concert, joined by other area bluegrass bands. Cafe Du Nord, 2170 Market Street. Doors open 9:00pm, music at 10:00pm. Suggested donation: $10 to $20.
