     Hello, my name is Ondrej Kozak. I am a 1st year doctorate student at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. I graduated in Chemistry and Environment Protection Technology at Technical University of Ostrava. During my university studies, my interests moved from environment protection technology to analytical chemistry, nanotechnology and materials science. In my doctorate studies, I focus on nanoparticles synthesis and their application in nanocomposites, catalysis and other branches of technology.

     Besides that, my biggest hobby is music. I play guitar, fiddle and mandolin. I sing and write songs as well. I focus mainly on bluegrass music but I like country-music, folk, jazz and related genres too. With my bands I recorded CDs that are broadcasted and reviewed in USA, Europe and Australia. I regularly teach guitar at bluegrass workshops in the Czech Republic, Norway and Netherlands.

     I would like to spend some time in the USA. My greatest motivation for that is gaining new experience from foreign country, improving my English and traveling. It would be splendid if my stay could be related to music and/or my work and studies. I would be very grateful if you could help me with any suggestions or recommendation.
