Celebrate the new year with us at the January 3, 2010 jam at the Santa
Clara Valley Fiddlers Association (http://www.scvfa.org)! It is from 1:00 to
5:00 PM at the Hoover Middle School, 1635 Park Ave, San Jose.

We had a very successful 2009 - our first improvisation workshop,
several KidFiddle workshops, our Beginner Circles, a continuation of
mini-concert series by local talent, our Youth Fiddle Contest, and the
creation of a set of SCVFA archival CDs from 1993 with many champion
fiddlers performing. The CDs are each listed at
(http://www.scvfa.org/SCVFACDs1-8.pdf). They are our gift to you for a
donation (Your choice of 1 CD for a $10 donation; your choice of 4 CDs
for a $30 donation).

Mark your calendars for March 7

March 7 jam has two special events: Jack Tuttle will be teaching our
KidFiddle workshop and he and Molly Tuttle will be perform in a
mini-concert (at least 30 minutes). ALSO, our very own Steve Joynes,
The Fiddle Guy and an SCVFA trustee, will be offering another Fiddle
Clinic free for members.

If there is a local talented fiddler that you would like to see
perform, please let me know and we'll consider him or her.

If you have a truck or SUV and can help transport the sound system to
the jam from the storage locker about one mile away, please let me
know. Several people can help load and unload the equipment.

If you buy from Amazon.com, please use the Amazon link at the lower
left side of the SCVFA website (http://www.scvfa.org). The SCVFA gets a small
referral commission that costs you nothing extra. The small change
adds up.

Lastly, the SCVFA is an all-volunteer run organization. Please
consider helping out by participating as best you can. Share your
thoughts at our bimonthly trustee meetings. It's exciting being part
of this fun organization.

Fiddlingly yours,
Richard Brooks  (SCVFA Preside
