Mighty fine GOF. We had most of the seasons except a good winter rainstorm. Now on to the next big show, Jake's. Is there a need for volunteers? Is the only member discount available until the 22nd? Are there vendors and if so is the guy with the whole hog bbq coming? Tell him we need more hush puppies next time.

We need volunteers– contact the festival director Nancie Barker.

There are no member discounts at the gate. Discounts are available by mail through AUGUST 22 (this Sunday). Before that deadline, an NCBS adult member (or another local club) can come for the whole weekend only $40 — even cheaper than the GOF — AND this year, the 2-3 day tickets include free camping!

There will be a food vendor at Brown Barn, but (alas) not the BBQ guy! You are on your own for hush puppies.

I suggest the “All You Can Eat Catfish Cabin” in Smyrna , TN. for excellent hush puppies. I suggest the Jake's Brown Barn Festival for excellent bluegrass music.
