AND WE NEED YOU TO LOVE US BACK!

THE KALW FALL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE STARTS THIS FRIDAY AND WE
NEED YOUR HELP!  KALW's goal is *$300,000*–our highest
goal ever!  This drive is CRITICAL to our survival as a
public radio station.  If KALW falls short of its goal this
fall, we will be running a deficit.  We have no surplus to
fall back on to make up a shortfall.

EVERY PLEDGE COUNTS, no matter how great or small.  We rely
on every dollar contributed.  And if you're a fan of folk,
American roots, or Celtic, call in your pledge on Saturday
afternoon to cast your vote for music on KALW.

“FOLK MUSIC & BEYOND” will be fundraising for the next two
Saturdays (September 11th and 18th).  A pledge of $75 will
get you any one of these fabulous new releases:

*  Tim O'Brien, “Chicken & Egg” (Folk, American roots)
*  Lunasa, “La Nua” (Irish instrumental)
*  Karan Casey & John Doyle, “Exiles Return” (Irish songs
  and ballads)

SPECIAL KALW EVENT Sunday, October 10th–for a pledge of
$150, you get a pair of tickets to an intimate concert
featuring two Bay Area bands, Euphonia and Leftover Dreams,
at The Vin, a new venue in North Beach (price of admission
includes one complimentary drink and appetizers).

MATCHING GRANTS of $100 or more are always welcome to
challenge other listeners to match your contributions.  If
