Join us this Sunday, April 4, 2010, for the Santa Clara Valley
Fiddlers Association's monthly jam from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Hoover
Middle School (1635 Park Ave. at Naglee, San Jose). Visit
http://www.scvfa.org more information.
BIG NEWS: The SCVFA is now the owner of the Fiddlers.org domain name.
The challenge will be how we can make the best use of it. I anticipate
international recognition of the SCVFA as an independent fiddle
organization and funding possibilities. Share your ideas about how we
can use Fiddlers.org to the best advantage that is consistent with our
mission.
On March 16, Lois Kellerman, aka Sarah Bellum, invited me to be a
guest on her radio show on KZSU, Stanford University's radio station.
She features bluegrass and related music - new folk-type music. I
represented the SCVFA and played some music from our 1993 archive CDs
and from two recent stage performances. If you would like a CD of my
30 minute segment, I'll make a copy for a $5 donation, but you must
let me know in advance so I can bring it with me.
Would someone volunteer to be our secretary to take notes at our
trustees meetings? We meet every other month usually on the third
Sunday of the odd numbered months at 2:00 PM for only 3 hours. The
required follow-up is a To-Do list, a brief summary for the Fiddler's
Rag, and a record of the minutes.
There were two big successes at our March jam: There was a waiting
line for Steve Joynes' Fiddle Clinic, and he was busy the whole time.
Jack and Molly Tuttle's show and KidFiddle workshop were fantastic.
Those youths sure looked good on stage. THANK YOU Steve, Jack, and
Molly for your great contributions!
Our Beginners Circle will be taught by someone yet to be determined.
Come and find out who it is!

Y'all come if you can and help support us.
Fiddlingly yours,
