Dear Concerned Friends and Fans,
In the wake of yesterday's newsletter, Waybacks World Headquarters has been inundated by a flood of emails asking about canceled dates and expressing sorrow that the band has broken up.
Totally my bad… from now on, I'm leaving the fake news to Jon Stewart…
To be certain…
THE WAYBACKS ARE NOT CANCELING ANY DATES, AND WE ARE NOT BREAKING UP!
My sincere apologies for any confusion stemming from yesterday's email – a bit of whimsy meant to grab your attention and get you to party with us this week. I guess the attention-grabbing part was successful…
It is true that The Waybacks won't be spending as much time on tour in 2010 as in recent years, but we are absolutely NOT GOING AWAY. (Sorry to disappoint anyone.) And we all look forward to seeing you out there on the road sometime soon.
Again, my apology if the well-meaning attempt at humor was misleading in any way.
Ironically, it let loose a warm and friendly tide of concern and well-wishing for which we are extremely appreciative. Your love and support means so much to all of us! We are truly fortunate to have such great fans.
Here are our remaining shows for 2009:
10/30/09
Freight & Salvage

11/01/09
Humboldt Brews
Arcata, CA
11/02/09

11/03/09

Keep your eyes peeled for 2010 plans.
The Waybacks: We're not dead, we just smell funny.
