The Northern California Bluegrass Society brings people together to enjoy, play, and promote bluegrass, old time, and related acoustic music. Membership in the NCBS brings you in touch with musicians and musical events connected to the world of bluegrass.

NCBS exists because of your support! Through a growing network of bluegrass society members, the local bluegrass community is thriving. The NCBS board, individual members and other affiliated organizations plan bluegrass events like jams and campouts, and publicize them through channels like our local bluegrass radio DJs, internet media and our printed monthly magazine, Bluegrass By the Bay.

The magazine includes CD reviews and previews of events, and is the best source of information about acoustic music in Central and Northern California. With your membership, you will receive the monthly newsletter and discounts on all NCBS events.

There is so much bluegrass and old time activity going on from the San Francisco Bay area through the Monterey Bay area that no one person can do it all.
